New York City Marathon

Another experience offered from the Sport Management Club I could not pass up. I worked with the New York Road Runners to make sure the marathon weekend went smoothly.

For the opening ceremony, I was scanning in tickets and trying to control the crowd along with another volunteer and security.

On Saturday, we helped set up the barricades and logos at the start line for the 5k run.

Marathon Day we assisted Red Cross as spotters at the post finish line. We were posted up on stands encouraging runners to keep moving while directing them to medical tents and exits.
